After attending a Phoenix Mercury game with very little basketball knowledge and a whole lot of curiosity, I started realizing how often we avoid new spaces because we’re afraid of looking uninformed, awkward, or out of place. But somewhere between the sneakers, sequins, halftime dancers, missed shots, and roaring crowd energy, I was reminded that life expands when we stop needing to be experts and start allowing ourselves to simply participate. This conversation is about curiosity, humility, storytelling, and the magic that happens when we let ourselves be beginners again.
