93: Re-Pot Yourself

Send us Fan Mail

After hearing a venture capitalist speaker casually mention the idea of “Re-Potting Yourself” at a conference, I couldn’t stop thinking about how people need re-potting too, and somehow that led me straight home to my pothos plant. As I untangled roots, moved the plant into a new container, and watched what happened next, I started thinking about the ways we outgrow spaces, routines, and even old versions of ourselves. Sometimes growth doesn’t require becoming someone new; sometimes it simply means giving yourself enough room, nourishment, and light to thrive. And because life has a sense of humor, enjoy this episode for your first listen and my second.

Key Takeaways:

  • Sometimes growth begins with a simple idea or phrase that keeps echoing until you’re ready to act on it.
  • Just like a pothos plant, people need the right environment, space, and care to truly thrive.
  • Re-potting yourself doesn’t always mean becoming someone new — sometimes it means giving yourself room to grow into who you already are.
